What is Soft Custom Night Guard

A soft night guard is a single-material guard made from a flexible, cushioned thermoplastic. It’s designed for comfort and easy adaptation, great for first-time guard users or people with sensitive teeth and gums. Because it’s softer, it helps absorb impact from light to moderate grinding and clenching, but very heavy grinders may wear through a soft guard faster than a hybrid or hard guard.

What about thickness?

• 2.0 mm – our recommended thickness for soft guards: low-profile, comfy, and protective for light to moderate grinding.
  • If you regularly chew through soft guards or have dental work to protect, consider a Hybrid (dual-laminate) or Hard guard for added durability.

How to Care and when to replace
